Apple
![]() |
Symbolic of earthly desires, the forbidden fruit has been at the centre of controversy in religion (Adam and Eve) as well as in mythology (Paris and Helen of Troy). It has inspired artists, poets and scientists (Magritte, Yates, Newton). Certain apples are almost spherical in shape signifying totality, others are almost cubic in shape signifying stability. I explore the metaphysical aspect of the apple in its totality and stability by mystifying its meaning in the hyperbole. |
