Silvano Giannelli After his return from prisoner-of-war camp, Silvano Giannelli became one of the group of young intellectuals who, with Adolfo Oxilia and Giovanni Papini, founded the avant-garde Catholic review L'Ultima in Florence in 1946. He worked in Florence as art-critic for the Mattino dell'Italia Centrale and then for the daily Il Popolo. |

As a producer with R.A.I., the Italian state television, he has been involved in the making of various programmes of a cultural nature, including Arti e Scienze, L'Approdo, and Sapere. He has written essays, monographs and catalogues on the major artists of our time, including Carra, de Chirico, Kokoschka, Chagall, Moore, Sutherland, Guttuso, Rauchenberg. |
