Transformation
Oil on canvas, 1964 65cm x 90cm (26" x 36")

Artist's Interpretation:

"Transformation" captures a moment in the infinite time which witnesses the metamorphosis of an adolescent into a young woman when she discards her toys and dreams a romantic interlude with nature and life. It is the awakening of her senses and the palpitation of her heart that bring to consciousness the mysterious secrets of Spring, Summer and Fall. The colours of the passing seasons shape her form and fashion her destiny while shadows in the empty room play on the tiled floor the echo of her unending emotions.
