Romantic Harmony
Romantic Harmony
Oil on canvas, 1966 65cm x 90cm (26" x 36")

Artist's Interpretation:

"Romantic Harmony", in ancient setting (Castle), presents roses without stems, without thorns floating in a window niche which opens onto the infinite space caressed by a sloping range of mountains. It symbolizes the time in a relation between a man and a woman when both enjoy the ecstasy of their encounter and give to each other the seeds of their mutual friendship, devotion, affection and passion. Their relation is made of such moments, to hope for a continuous status of bliss is almost inhuman. The budding rose in the center of this emotional harmony represents an essential ingredient in the fermentation of true honest love, fidelity (love=friendship, devotion, affection, passion and fidelity).
