Artist's Interpretation:

In the turbulent sea of emotions, the senses are awakened by desire chasing the waves of passion. On the beach of the mind lands the personification of sensual pleasure and platonic love, the "Rose", also symbol of happiness and spiritual contentment. It came to rest and ponder on the needs of the flesh and the predicament of the soul. This temporary stasis will help man to overcome the boundaries of the sensible world allowing him to rise to the contemplation of the "ideal" in search of the "Truth" and the "Eternal".
